As our tiles dry by air and we can not speed up this process, we need (even for small quantities) a minimum of 3 weeks production time after order & payment confirmation. The final delivery date depends on quantity and our production schedule.

Tiles in stock are available with in 48h after order confirmation and payment verified.

A glazed tile will refer to a ceramic or porcelain tile. Cement tiles are not fired, therefore can’t be glazed. If you want a shiny look, we can advise you a topcoat for a “wet effect” or you can have the tiles polished after installation.

In order to calculate the quantity required in square meters for your order, you need to calculate the surface area you want to tile (W x H). Add 10%-15% for wastage (there will always be a percentage of tiles that breaks during transportation, handling, installation cutting, and attic storage. This surplus is considered normal for all sort of tiles). 

As the tiles are made by hand hence there is a natural variation in hue, shape, size, and thickness. We work with a margin of what is acceptable in terms of variation. Cement tiles will, in due time, create a unique patina, which is also to be expected.

If you are looking for perfect, rectified, even-toned polished tiles, cement tiles might not be the right product for you.

There are some tricks to installing the cement tiles. The perfect installer should possess expertise in handling cement tiles along with a reasonable understanding of the material's characteristics, variations, and the finesse required for staging and blending. If you happen to witness them installing tiles directly from the packaging, it might be a red flag. Therefore, it's crucial to invest your time, thoroughly review our guidelines, and actively participate in the process. That depends. When applying the tiles on the wall indoors, with an exception of kitchen backsplash or in wet areas, you can install it without the usage of a grouting. When you install the tiles on the floor we strongly recommend to use grouting to prevent moisture from getting into the tiles. 

As introduced above, the quality of your tile installation is directly linked to the skills of your installer. In the realm of cement tiles, any installer is a good installer? Unfortunately, NOT. Several factors may have contributed to the tired and unappealing appearance of your newly installed cement tiles. The most common ones are:

• Substrate did not undergo sufficient curing, therefore water tried to escape through the tiles, causing stains.
• Grout was applied and allowed to dry before first coat of wax or top sealer application, causing stains.
• The adhesive hadn't dried sufficiently to withstand foot traffic. This can cause cracked tiles.
• Wax/topcoat was applied whist the adhesive hadn't dried sufficiently therefore moist is still escaping thru the tiles. This will result in a lackluster, chalk-like.
• Wax or topcoat were not applied prior and after grouting. The tiles will be prone to easy staining, and persistent stains will prove challenging to remove.

After some time since the installation, I've observed that my tiles are becoming fragile, and I can detect some tiles are cracked and loose. What is going on?

The most common reasons are:

• Quantity of adhesive wasn’t enough, and it was not applied to the back of the tiles as well.
• The adhesive was spread over extensive areas and dried before properly adhered to the back of the tiles.
• The adhesive hadn't dried sufficiently to withstand foot traffic. This can cause cracked tiles.
• The tiles were installed with dot & dab fixing method and/or with the use of mallets or rubber hammers.

Our tiles are hand-made to order, especially for you. Therefore, Mosaico adheres to a strict ‘no refund and no return’ policy after order confirmation and payment is received.

There is a small percentage of tiles to be expected to turn into wastage during transport, this is one of the reasons why you add wastage to your order. 

If wrong tiles are delivered or if you received an amount of boxes not matching the delivery slip, please take photo’s of the current situation and file the claim immediately with our sales team and we will get back to you as soon as possible. 

The cement tiles are boxed and in case of big orderes the tiles will be palletized, strapped, and shrink wrapped prior to collection, and handled with a forklift.

Our tiles are sold ex works Mosaico’s factory in UAQ/UAE. However, depending on the situation, we might be able to assist our clients with the shipping process.

We work with third party transportation company, therefore not responsible for damage or loss during transportation. 

Within the UAE and the GCC the tiles are transported by road. When the tiles are exported outside the GCC limits, transport will be by sea or air.
